Ann Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Today Is: Wear Your Slippers Day! Do you generally wear slippers in your home? Quote
dchurchi Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I don't even own slippers, I just wear my socks to keep my feet warm Quote
jaminkw Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Only when it's cold and then they have to be sock slippers, big and floppy. I hate anything like shoes around the house! Judy in Key West Quote
Janet B Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I hate keeping slippers on for some reason - but the floors here are so very cold in the winter - so i usually wear two pairs of those big fuzzy slipper socks at the same time. (and two sweatshirts and two turtlenecks and long underwear!!) Quote
RandyW Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Yeah if Mocha doesn't t chew em up first then I wear socks. The slippers are the only shoes she chews on, so...... Quote
Ann Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 Here in Florida, flip-flops are about as close to slippers as I can get!!! Quote
Larry's Wife Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Yes, I often wear slippers. And when I'm not in slippers, I'm in flip flops. Never barefoot! Quote
ginnyde Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I have slippers on right now, but this is the exception. Usually wear my bare feet in the house. (Always thought it was funny, that we wear our 'bare' feet.) At my son't house you have to take off your shoes at the door and put on the sliippers that you keep there. It drives me a little crazy, but I do it. Quote
Ellen in PA Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Like Ginny's son, I take my shoes off at the door and put on my slippers. However, I don't expect anyone else to do it. (DH doesn't, for example.) And my 'slippers' aren't official slippers -- they're an indestructible 20+-year-old pair of Naot sandals (Israeli ripoffs of Birkenstocks). Since my 'outdoor' shoes are Birkenstocks, people laugh when they see me switch (like, 'What's the difference?') but I like having indoor shoes and outdoor shoes. Weird, I know. Ellen Quote
