DeanCarl
Carmen, Sorry you had to seek us out and sorry for the problems you've encounterd ... but REALY glad you found us. Your right, there are a TON of careing folks here. Something I started doing might help you enjoy your birthday and the holidays a bit more. On Thanksgiving week I was getting realy depressed and upset. Seemed all I was doing was taking tests or waiting for the results. So, on Sunday of that week, I got REALY mad and decided that I was going to take a week off from having cancer. I refused to make any appointments that week and made a rule that the word "cancer" would NOT be spoken, or even though of, around this house until AFTER Thanksgiving weekend. You know something? It worked! I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and plan on doing the same for Christmas! Yes, it's scary. But we don't have to be scared ALL the time. Good luck on everything. teresag
Bravo, Dean! I love the "cancer vacation" idea! Carmen, could you take a "cancer vacation" for your birthday? If not for a week, even for the day? Best wishes to you, Teresa
Don Wood
I like the "cancer vacation" as well. We don't need to live cancer every moment -- we need the breaks. Carmen, take Dean's advice and have a good birthday and a good Christmas. Blessings. Don
MO_Sugar
I am all for the cancer vacation idea myself! Carmen, Welcome to probably the best "room" on the net. The folks here really do become family. God Bless You, MO

Guest carmen
Dear Dean; Thankyou very much for the great advise. You are very right. This night I went to a party and even danced , which I didn't do since the diagnose.I had a great time and felt like I was very healthly. I will do the same for my birthday and the holydays. Who knows, maybe this new year brings good things for all of us. Also I thanyou to the other great people that replied, it made feel very good, because I became a kind of a loner since I'm sick. Happy Holydays to everybody Love Carmen
