Flyman35 Posted July 28, 2009 Share Posted July 28, 2009 I have decided to post this in the survivors formum as Tom is definitely a survivor. Today marks Tom 2nd birthday since dx and tomorrow 7/29 is his 18 month Stage IV NSCLC survival mark. He has hit some rough patches but has made it through. Yesterday I was so proud of him. His daughter was in from Texas for the Murphy family get together on Saturday. Yesterday we got ambitious and took the Metra train and the bus to Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. For anyone not familiar with it it is huge. As close as we live it was our first trip there. I felt like a tourist. Tom bought a full tank of O2 with and walked while pushing his O2 cart around. He must have walked a total of about 1.5 miles with some short breaks in between. He has not done that in a very long time. So congratulations Tom for fighting through to another birthday!!
