Nick C
This is a stock I own, and when I read this come across my screen, I think my eyes popped out of my head like a cartoon. Echelon Corp. said Wednesday that its CEO and board chairman, Kenneth Oshman, is stepping down from his post because he has been diagnosed with lung cancer.San Jose-based Echelon (NASDAQ:ELON) said Robert Maxfield, a member of the board, was named CEO in Oshman's stead. Maxfield served in that capacity during 2008 and has been an advisor to Oshman. He will remain on the board but will step down from the compensation committee. Oshman's cancer is most likely treatable, the company said, and he plans to begin treatment as soon as possible. Oshman will remain an active executive chairman and "intends to continue to be involved with Echelon as much as possible," the company added. I just don't normally see LUNG CANCER so prominently referenced.

Barb73
This does look as though the words, lung cancer, are being given an "outing." Thanks for the article, Nick. It is unusual to see anyone prominant actually state that they have lung cancer. Barbara
