Kasey
A good friend of ours had his first shot. He is suffering bone pain, which I know is a side effect. His question is - how ong does the pain last??? I know you are out there with the answer. I'm not sure if it eases up or not or just stays for the long term. Any insight is appreciated by me and him. Thanks, Kasey
dianew
I think it may be different for everyone. For me, the first time it only lasted maybe 2 days, but by my last chemo it lasted approx 5 days. For me it was the worst part of the chemo, but others seem to have little problem. Flyman35
For Tom it was 2-3 days and my friend Martha was about 3-4 days. It does go away though. Tom and Martha both have said that that was worse than the chemo itself. Denise
recce101
A couple of days for me, starting the day after the injection. Mine was more like deep muscle aches rather than what I would call bone pain. The first time seemed to be the worst, and on subsequent cycles the Neulasta effect merged with the general fatigue caused by the Taxol/Carbo — not aches as much as that "I need a nap right now" feeling. fillise
Mom HATED her Neulasta shot. The bone pain lasted 3-4 days for her. She would take a Claratin and two iubprohens beginning the day she took chemo and for 4 days afterwards and that helped with the bone pain.
