Flyman35
Tom an I had a rare weekend day without any kids so we decided to do some garage saleing. We stopped at one here in Palatine and struck up a conversation with the home owners Jose and Linda. Within this conversation we found out how small a world this really is. Tom was a pilot of small planes for hobby and Jose is a retired aviation maintenance manager for United airlines. Tom and Jose both had heart bypass operations by the same surgeon at the same hospital a year apart. Both had AAA repairs at the same hospital a year apart. Both are lung cancer survivors. Jose is a 6 year survivor and Tom an almost 3 year survivor. It was quite the conversation. Congrats to both Tom & Jose for beating the odds and being able to share their stories with each other. shineladysue
Wow, Denise, That really is something that the two guys met and had so much in common. Sounds like a new friendship in the works. Sometimes, I just have to believe that there is a lot more than coincidence involved over things that happen in our lives. Thanks for sharing. Joppette
Very cool. I'm a big believer that there are NO coincidences in this world. And God put them together for a good reason. Judy in MI
