KatieB
I was finally cleaning and organizing my office today and I found some very special things from my dear friend ConnieB. Randomly she'd send me a card of encouragment...how did she know EXACTLY when this orphaned girl needed a lift up, a pat on the back or some encouraging words when it felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders? OH my goodness I miss her SO much and I will always be SO thankful that she held my hand and helped me thru the most difficult times of my life. I'd like to share the card she sent to me- with anyone who may need some encouraging words today: The Oak Tree A mighty wind blew night and day It stole the oak tree's leaves away, Then snapped its boughs and pulled it's bark until the oak tree was tired and stark. But still the oak tree held its ground while other trees fell all around... The weary wind gave up and spoke. "How can you still be standing, Oak?" The oak tree said, "I know that you can break each branch of mine in two. carry every leaf away, shake my limbs, and make me sway. But I have roots stretched in the earth, growing stronger since my birth. You'll never touch them, for you see, they are the deepest part of me. Until today, I wasn't sure of just how much I could endure. But now I've found, with thanks to you, I'M STRONG THAN I EVER KNEW. ______________________________ Especially now, try to remember that you are stronger than any problem you encounter or any disappointment life will bring. Thinking of you, Believing in you, Caring for you, All my love, Connie B. (RIP Connie - October 23, 2010)
