lilyjohn
As many of you know I am participating in the first Rockathon for Relay for Life. My job is to gather information and to be in charge of activities. One of the things I am doing is putting together a quiz. I have realized that there is a question that I do not know the answer to and am asking for your help. I am well aware that there is Small Cell and Non Small Cell Lung Cancers. What I do not know is the 4 or more kinds of non small cell and what they are. Can someone please fill me in. By the way we are focusing on Lung Cancer. I am hoping that if this works out I can find a way to raise funds for Lungevity in the future. Thanks again for any help you may be able to give me. ts
Adenocarcinomas are often found in an outer area of the lung. Squamous cell carcinomas are usually found in the center of the lung by an air tube (bronchus). Large cell carcinomas can occur in any part of the lung. They tend to grow and spread faster than the other two types. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0004462/ I guess the fourth would be BAC? Bronchioloalveolar carcinoma. lilyjohn
Thanks all help is appreciated. My next project will be to tell people of those I know who are survivors especially long term survivors. Anyone want to let me tell a short version of their story please let me know. I won't tell without permission.
