Sarah018
My dad passed away from lung cancer on February 23, 2011 after an over two year battle. I miss him more than I ever knew I could. Im here looking for support and I am very interested in raising awareness and doing what I can to help lung cancer research. Sarah
chloesmom
Hi Sarah, I am glad that you found the LCSC-and Lungevity. LCSC is a wonderful place to find support - and Lungevity does all kinds of things to raise awareness. I understand how you feel-I lost a sister to cancer many years ago-it wasn't lung cancer, but leukemia, and I still miss her every day. But, time does ease the pain, and you have to think they are in a better place. I hope you spend some time looking around on the message board and I am sure that Lungevity would love for you to get involved in any way you can to raise awareness. Annette
Sarah, I'm so sorry about your dad, I haven't lost a loved one so I cannot begin to know how you feel. There are a lot of members of this board that have lost loved ones though and they will be along to offer you some kind words and a shoulder. So many of us here just hate this dreaded disease - I hope as you look around you find some words of comfort here - Annette
karenwentzel
Hi Sarah, Sending warm cyber (((HUGS))) to you. I cannot imagine the pain you must be feeling right now. I do think, however, that by you reaching out to turn this tragedy into a positive by helping to find a cure, your pain will be eased. Thank you in advance for helping end this dreaded disease!
