Guest a. Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 Hi, My father has just finished his 6th chemo. He's been on Cisplatin and VP-16, 3 days every 3 weeks. The last few rounds, he experienced significant bone and joint pain about 2 weeks after the chemo. The pain goes away within a day or two of the chemo starting again. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this? a. Quote
Cindy RN Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 Yes I have had joint pain continually since the first round of chemo in 2001. I take celebrex for it and darvocet. It does help. Good luck, Cindy Quote
berisa Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 the following link lists out the specific chemo - possible side effect. It may help you. http://www.cancerbacup.org.uk/Treatment ... /Cisplatin Quote
Guest a. Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Hi, Thank you all for replying. I'm worried about what is going to happen if the pain starts again two weeks from now, and there's no chemo to relieve it. My dad will be getting scans and x-rays in the next couple of weeks, and we'll get the results on Feb. 4th. a. Quote
