lilyjohn
Several years ago while trying to find a way to get my life back on track I felt that everything had been taken from me. I was very broken and wasn't sure if I would ever be fixed or even if I wanted to be. One day in our small church in French Gulch we turned to a song in our song book. That song told my story and along with a sermon by a pastor who knew much the same loss I had they not only told my story but helped me to move on past the bitterness and fear that held me in it's grip. This is the words to that song. I hope it can do for someone else what it has done for me. Something Beautiful Something Beautiful, Something Good All my confusion He understood. All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife, But He made something beautiful of my life. If there were ever dreams that were lofty and noble, They were my dreams at the start And the hopes for life's best were the hopes That I harbored down deep in my heart But my dreams turned to ashes, my castles all crumbled, My fortune turned to loss. So I wrapped it all in the rags of my life, and I laid it at the cross! Something Beautiful, Something Good All of my confusion He understood, All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife, But he made something Something Beautiful Something Beautiful, Something beautiful of my life. Nick C
Many don't realize the gift that is given to us to help with our hurt. Good words!
Joppette
Lily, I don't know that song, but the words are beautiful. I think I'll try to find it because it's wonderful. Thanks! Judy in MI
