Injecting HOPE

Recommended Posts

OK caregivers, here's another question I have to answer rather frequently.

Let's hear how YOU do it.

Injecting HOPE. It's a tricky thing...you don't want to offer "fluff" or "false" hope, -- you want to offer hope to the one you love who's going thru treatment....They need HOPE and encouragement now more than ever.....so how do you do it?

When you know the side effects are common, when you know hairloss is to be expected, when you know that metallic taste, nausea, appetite loss and fatigue are normal---how do you remain positive and encouraging without negating the fears and trauma that the patient is experiencing?
