Susan Mantel joins LUNGevity as Vice President of Programs and Marketing

Washington, D.C. (January 3, 2012) — LUNGevity Foundation is pleased to announce that Susan Mantel has joined the management team as Vice President of Programs and Marketing. In her new role, Ms. Mantel will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for all program areas. These areas include: research, support & advocacy and patient education. In addition, Ms. Mantel will oversee all marketing for the foundation, increasing awareness about lung cancer and the needs of the more than 220,000 people diagnosed with the disease in this country each year.

The position will be a part of the senior management team that drives the overall strategy for the organization and represents LUNGevity Foundation on a local, regional, and national basis. Ms. Mantel brings a wealth of experience to her new role from her prior positions as Executive Director, Uniting Against Lung Cancer; Senior Marketing Manager, Pfizer, Inc.; Account Director, Flywheel Partners; and Worldwide Health Care Practice Coordinator, The Boston Consulting Group.
