Dr. Lilenbaum is a renowned medical oncologist who is the Director of Hematology/Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Weston, Fl. He is highly respected for his leadership in the entire field of lung cancer, but he has a particular expertise in managing lung cancer and leading clinical trials that improve our understanding of treatment options for older, more frail patients. Below is his presentation, which includes an overview of general principles of treating elderly patients, as well as a summary of the evidence on chemotherapy for patients with resected early stage NSCLC, locally advanced NSCLC, and metastatic disease.
