With 160,000 deaths a year, lung cancer remains by far America's top cancer killer. Thursday morning, lung cancer survivor Joey Smith and LUNGevity Foundation President Andrea Stern Ferris shared some good news about the fight against this disease, and more on a special event Friday night. See our interview with them above. The Musical Celebration of Hope Gala happens Friday at 7 p.m. at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium at 1301 Constitution Avenue NW in D.C.
