dianew
Hi Katie. Pretty dull up here in Oregon compared to what is going on back east. I hope all of our members are safe and dry, and have power. Susan - if you are reading WE MISS YOU and are praying for you to feel better soon. I also hope all of the other members who haven't stopped by in awhile are well and just busy living their lives. Drop in and say hi if you get a chance. Are the dates set yet for the 2013 Hope Summit? They may have been posted somwhere, but if so I missed it. I am so hoping to be able to come this year. lilystemp
I came here to day to see if anyone was here. I have been thinking about Susan and now so many of our members that I know are either in the middle of that storm or close. I hope they will check in when they can. The things I am seeing do not look good and to have to deal with that and LC just seems so unfair. I am doing good trying to get some things caught up before I leave on my trip next week. I always look forward to going and dread it too. This year I dread it more because I am having a back problem that just won't go away. I keep praying that by the time I leave it will be starting to ease but after a couple of months I am having my doubts. Weather here today is pleasant and partly cloudy with rain expected in the next couple of days. I am enjoying my windows open and no air on. Leaves are turning and this is one of my favorite times of year. Take care all and please be safe. Prayers for all.
Alan
Hi you guys, Here it is wednesday, the weather has gone by us here in central Pa. without much real trouble. ( except for a few trees on houses ) guess that's trouble but overall not so bad. I'm thinking about Susan and how it wasn't very long ago she joined us here. I remember joining and typing my first words here. All of you have been such great support and full of understanding and kind thoughts. You are all truly wonderful people and sharing these stories of living with lung cancer has always given me hope and inspiration. The old cliche "if you're going through hell, keep going." reminds me of the up and down fight we go through and I will keep going. Next week is another 4 month CT scan for me along with visits to pulminology, oncology, nutrition, naturopath and a few more. Anxiety is creeping in a little but like I said, I'll keep going. So, for Susan and Alison, stay strong and you guys keep going too. Losing the stress is easier said than done sometimes. I hope you can go home soon.
