Connie B
Hi Family, Well, I have had people asking me how I am feeling and how I am doing, and the answer to that is: VERY GOOD thank you! I am honestly on the mend from having that Mxyoma Heart Tumor removed in November. ALL IS GOING GREAT! I am feeling more and more like myself each day. Also, I would like to share that my Pulm Doc called me this last Friday (again) as he said he would after he looked at my CT pictures himself. Low and behold he and 4 other Pulm Doc's took a look at my films from last April, August and this January. They all agree that the nodule HAS shrunk to 4 mm's in size. (was 4mm, to 6-7 mm's, back to 4mm's) They also feel this could be a fungus infection. Fungus infections can stay around for a LONG time. They are NOT concerned at this time with it because it is shrinking and can not cause any problems for me. He said in time, this fungus could and probably will calicfiy and we won't need to be concerned about it. And he also feels that this Nodule acted up in this fashion so we would come upon that Myxoma Tumor in my heart. HUMMMMM! He felt it was God's way of redirecting our attention from my lung to my heart! (makes sense to me)! So, I will NOT need to have surgery on my ONE AND ONE LUNG, HOORAY! But, I will be doing CT scans every 3 to 4 months for the next year at least!! OHHHHHHHH Works FOR ME!!! So, having said all that HAPPY NEW YEAR AGAIN! I'm coming back and I'm giong to kick some cancer *ss along the way and get some much needed ATTENTION for us Lung Cancer Survivors. WHEEEEE! I'm STILL CANCER FREE after 8-1/2 years!!!! Number 9 here I come!! Love and Hugs to you all, and ALSO, THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for all the wonderful kind, caring, loving cards you have all sent me over the last few months. They honestly lift our sprits when things don't look or feel so good. THANK YOU EVERYONE!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

kimblanchard
And you LOOK as good as you are doing young lady! I got to meet Connie last week and I really expected to see a woman ravaged by two open heart surgeries. NOT - She is gorgeous (three times prettier than her picture if you can imagine that) and looks AMAZINGLY well! I was so surprised that she felt good enough to go out for dinner (and not that early I might add!) You go girl.....I'm sure you will hit 9 years of survivorship! Hugs,
