wey2
I came across the posting on this site about an individual whose father was in hospice, and the hospice refused to furnish Actiq (fentanyl) lollipops for pain relief. I work for a non-profit organization that is doing advocacy on the issue of Medicare due process notice and appeal rights in the hospice context. We are seeking to hear from individuals (or their loved ones) who have had similar experiences -- where hospice has refused to provide them with an ordered medication, service, or item based on the belief that it was not covered under the Medicare hospice benefit. We would like to know what happened and what, if any, information they were given about how to dispute/appeal that denial. Please refer to the following link for information on how to share your story with us: http://www.medicareadvocacy.org/medicar ... r-stories/ Sincerely, W.
