The toolkit guides young adults to the information they need to make important financial decisions in the wake of a cancer diagnosis. This collaboration between Triage Cancer and The Samfund aims to mitigate the financial toxicity we see in our community. Whether at the time of diagnosis, in the midst of treatment, or at any point in recovery, we hope to help young adult survivors find information that is most relevant to them. As you may know, open enrollment for the ACA State Health Insurance Marketplaces began yesterday. We know that healthcare is crucial for young adult survivors and so wanted the first module of the Toolkit to focus on health insurance. Premiums are on the rise and we want our young adults to be able to make the best possible decision when choosing an insurance plan.
