Guest DavidA
HI Friends and fellow survivors, Thursday2/05 I had a follow up with my pulmonary doctor, thinkng it was a follow up to my recent bout with pnuemonia. Being the through doc that he is , he has been studying my recent catscans and senses there is an obstruction in my airway before it splits to my lungs, up until now all problems have centered in my right lung and right side of my chest only. He isn't an alarmist but told me it is possibly a tumor or fiberous material, if it is a new tumor I would gander t say that my current chemo isn't working. Hoping it is a glitch n the catscans. I'm really quiete scared about this as it sounds lke it isn't really treatable where it is, and would I suffocate? Good news is I'm hoping to get a travel oxygen tank tomrrow, so I don't have to drag the "welding" tank with me. Don't man to whine, but I'm frightened by the possibillties here, guess I should take Don Woods advice and not borrow trouble. Hope fully I'll be posting in the good news column later today as My doc is supposed to meet with me while I'm getting chemo today. Thanks and if you have time please say an extra prayer for me. Karen
David, Just turned midnight here on the West Coast. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as I head off to bed. Praying mostly for some peace of mind for you right this minute! Holy cow, what did the doc say that has you worrying about suffocating? Think of Don Wood's saying instead; put that bad thought to rest please. Praying for us to see a posting from you in the Good News ASAP. God bless~ Karen M. cathy
David, My first thought was that lazer treatment that I seen on our local news station.. Please check into it, if I am not mistaken it is done at henry ford and that is probably 30 minutes from you at the most....It was all about tumors in the airways. If you get a recomendation from your doctors they can probably get you in asap, have your wife use her clout as well..Please please check into it, it looked so promising..Meamwhile I will definately keep you in my prayers.... Guest
Wow, thanks everyone, saw my doctor today he hunted me down while I was having chemo. He went over allmy recent scans with a radiolgist and said there is definitly an obstruction there, they aren't sure what it is, he said he doesn't think it is a tumor(i'm betting on that with him) he is meeting with the tumor board today to discuss it with the thorasic surgeons. I tell ya, you all are the best , not sure where I would be with out this webstite and message board.David a
