Elliott Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Hello All, My mother has stage VI cancer with a tumor in her right lung, as well as tumors on both adrenal glands. In a recent CT scan, the results indicated a "tumor thrombus in the IVC" - due to the holidays we are not able to follow up on questioning what exactly this means. Has anyone had any experience with this that can share what it meant ? Since no one has mentioned it or discussed it with us i am trying to get as much information as possible. Is this something we should even question. THANK YOU ALL! Happy Holidays. ELLIOTT
BridgetO Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Hello Elliott and welcome here! I'm sorry to hear about your mom's diagnosis. I don't have an answer to your question, but other forum members may. I encourage you to have your mom call the doctor that ordered the CT and ask about it. This advice I need to take for myself as well. I have a question about my recent CT results that I haven't asked and now I will. Thanks for the unintentional prod. Best wishes to you and your mom. Bridget O
