Kimi Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Seems like I am always asking questions! I was curious if anyone’s breathing seems much worse after radiation?
Robert Macaulay Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 No not at all if anything it has improved after fourteen treatments and was told the tumour has stopped getting bigger last Thursday. Fatique is the only drawback for me
Susan Cornett Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 My breathing was a little more labored after radiation but it improved not long after I finished radiation.
Steff Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Kimi- My mom's breathing was a bit more labored after radiation as well.
Kimi Posted April 2, 2018 Author Posted April 2, 2018 Hopefully mine will get better! Thanks for the replies.
Judy M. Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Kimi Yes, After the SBRT on my lungs. And after standard radiation on breast after breast cancer surgery was very short of breath for 3 or 4 weeks. Now think I probably had some pneumonitis from the radiation. Didn't know about that back then. Glad it passed. For what I had after SBRT got 10 days of Prednisone and that took care of it. If it were me, I'd mention that to your Oncologist. They can give you steroids that will clear it up. You don't have to suffer through it. Judy M.
