The April edition of Smithsonian magazine has an iartilcle about immuniotherapy entitled "Saving Miss Vanessa". It's not  specifically about lung cancer. Miss Vanessa has colon cancer. The article has some history of how immunotherapy was developed and an understandable explanation of how checkpoint inhibitors work. It also has big sidebars about cancer vaccines and  CAR-T cell therapy.  An interesting and readable article; I recommend it.
