LexieCat
Went for my scan this morning. I really like the way I'm treated at my local MD Anderson Center. I go to a local radiology place for my mammograms and other imaging (unrelated to my cancer), but for the chest CTs I go to the radiology center at Cooper. They have an easy check-in, a comfortable waiting room, pleasant techs (who always offer me a blanket in the cold exam room). The contrast was injected without a hitch (I have hard-to-get veins and when I went for my recent bloodwork, the phlebotomist hit my median nerve). So now it's just another day till my oncologist's appointment Thursday morning. The scanziety isn't too bad right now--hopefully all I will hear on Thursday is "see ya in six months." No reason to believe that won't be the case--still, I feel like I have to worry just enough for purposes of superstition.
Steff
Glad I'm not the only one who feels superstitious! I always just celebrate an appropriate amount when my mom has good scan results - never too much because that could bring on the bad ju-ju! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for positive results for you (another one of my superstitions, lol)
Tom Galli
Lexie, Thankfully, your wait is short, but I completely understand your concern. Let’s hope you receive a NED gift for Christmas. Stay the course. Tom

Whew, thought for a second you were cussing me out. That's what my NORMAL typing looks like before the caffeine kicks in.

PaulaC
Positive thoughts and prayers. I can relate to the superstitious feelings. I’m still trying not to get to excited about being NED after my surgery but I am we will celebrate with you tomorrow.
LexieCat
I keep debating whether I'd want to know my scan results in advance of my appointment. I checked a few times and just checked again, and they aren't uploaded yet. Probably just as well. Now I'm trying not to take this as a SIGN or anything, lol. For someone who is firmly against woo-woo, I sure am knocking on an awful lot of wood.
Rower Michelle
Yeah, Jersey people don’t do woo woo but this definitely an exception!

BridgetO
The last scan i had I didn't have a lot of anxiety, EXCEPT right when I knew that the results were there. I got mine via an e-mail from my pulmonologist. BTW, I'm a firm believer in al the woo woo stuff. As long as it's positive,, life affirming woo woo stuff. No violence! No sticking pins in dolls! Crossing fingers, lighting candles, visualizing being surrounded by white light-- bring it on! Let us know as soon as you get your results.
