norme Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 My Buddy, my lover, my friend passed on to that other side last night at 9:30pm. I shall miss him something terrible. We had been married 46 years and together 5 years before that. I was 15 and he was 18 when we met. How does one go on after those many years? I guess I will find out now. He gave this lc a very good fight but in the end, it got him. Thanks to all of you who have been on this board answering all my posts when I needed to talk to someone. Thanks for all the cards and e-mails for they sure did help these past few weeks. I have told you all about my Buddy's and my RAINBOW BRIDGE and how whichever of us died first, we would wait for the other there and I know that my Buddy is now there and waiting now for me and we will hopefully enter into God's Kingdom together someday. This is a terrific sight. God love all of you and with His love we will all keep fighting this horrible disease together and help one other by having hope for a cure and sharing friendship and much needed love for our fellowman. Till I come back, I remain your friend. Quote

Sam'swifeShirley Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 Dear Norme, While words may not mean very much at this time, I found, and I hope you will too, so much comfort just knowing there are so many wonderful friends here thinking and praying for you. As Sam used to say when one of the members passed away, it is like losing a family member. How right he was. I can only imagine Sam and Buddy, along with the other lung cancer friends, meeting and saying to each other," gee, they act like we were special." Yes indeed , they were. God bless us all, Sam'swifeShirley Quote

His word says he is near the weak and brokenhearted. He will get you through this. God Bless you, Norme. Lyn Whitlock Quote
