Interesting--re liquid biopsy

The Nurse Navigator at Penn told me on the phone, yesterday, that I shouldn't be surprised if I receive an insurance denial for the liquid biopsy for which I had blood drawn yesterday--and also that I should not worry about it. She said my insurance company (BC/BS) is notorious for denying payment for this. She said Guardant would challenge the denial on my behalf and that, due to an agreement between Penn and Guardant, regardless of outcome, I would not be on the hook for it.

Another reason I'm glad I changed providers.
