bluebayou
Hi All, I've been feeling so sick with nausea these last few weeks/months that i don't know whether i'm coming or going. Its there 24/7 despite zofran, decradon and stemetil not to mention a milliad of minor *helpers* such as ice cream, dry crackers, cracked ice, no eating hot or cold food, small portions etc etc. There is nothing much to say except that sometimes i feel desperate in that i don't think i can go on. But of course, what choice to I have right???!! MRI taken last week of skeleton and CT Scans of head, chest and abdomen this past day. Meet with you doctor in few weeks time. As this will be our first big consult after tests, this will be a stressfull time for as you all we know. Please keep me in your thoughts and I do you! God Bless us All. P.S. Verry sorry about not corresponding but I've barely been able to get my body out of my bed for some time. That being said, I pray for you all day and night and commisserate with all of what you are going through, most of you much worse that me no doubt. norme
Francine, I am so sorry your are having a hard time right now. Maybe it is from the last treatment with the radiosurgery and it will clear up soon. When Buddy was having a little trouble with that I gave him popcycles, lots and lots of popcycles. I will say a special prayer for you to have the nausea go away and stay away. I will also pray for your tests to be great!

bobmc
Hi Francine, Good to hear from ya and boy I can certainly identify with ya, I'm now day 12 past WBR and it's been the same. Nausea, fatigue and yea at times can't get the head to move. I'm now off of the decadron and I'm told it should get better and it is but slowly. I also eat the small meals, lots of soups, jello's, cravings for sweets, and some really wierd stuff like king crab legs and lobster , I don't know, and just keep trying to eat something. I see my doc on Wed. for an update so I''ll ask questions. anyway, be well Francine and know your not alone, your in my prayers ! God bless and stay well ! Debi
Francine, I haven't been on the board much lately, but not a day goes by when I don't think of you. I am sorry that you are feeling so poorly and hope that you start feeling better soon. Just try to get those liquids down, we don't want a repeat of your last adventure! Take care of yourself Francine and feel better soon, okay??
mayos
Hello Francine...I'm new to the list but I've already developed a deep kinship with each and every person here. At least it feels that way from 'MY' end. You've been through so much.......especially with this recent radiotactic surgery. I'd have to agree this persistent nausea came along with that RT procedure. What I'd like to add here is that my own bouts of nausea were sometimes helped with "salty" foods and liquids.....ie; chicken soup (just broth most of the time) and sometimes letting potato chips sit on my tongue before swallowing them. Whatever ends up working for you....you deserve a break from this and I'm hoping you get it real quick....

Guest For Blue Bayou from Fay A
Francine, I can really relate to what you've written. There is a drug called Phenergan that is used to treat severe nausea. It comes in a suppository form for those who are unable to hold down pills. Ask your doctors about it. Hoping you find something that helps very soon. Fay A.

-Cheryl-
Hi Pretty Lady, So glad to see you post too. Oh, there is nothing worse than being nauseated. I had it pretty bad toward the end of my treatment from the top of my stomach being hit with radiation and the chemo combined. I couldn't even keep water down. So, go to the ER and get hydrated if you aren't getting anything down! Pudding was the first thing I could keep down, it sorta stuck to my stomach I guess? I am keeping you in my prayers.
