Judy M2
I went to my primary doctor yesterday for an annual visit. Some of my labs (like WBC) are still not in the normal range, 14 months after the end of chemo and radiation, so she suspects I am still clearing those treatments. She mentioned that milk helps to clear radiation from the body. I dislike straight milk, so today I am having some nice cocoa to warm up after my early-morning PET scan. Yum. LexieCat
Hm, I couldn't find a thing about milk and radiation (other than the dangers of drinking milk after a nuclear accident). Obviously milk is good for you, though, and nothing wrong with having an excuse for hot chocolate! I used to treat myself to a big fat Starbucks cappuccino on infusion days. Judy M2
Can't hurt, and the calcium is good for my osteopenia. LexieCat
LexieCat
Absolutely! One thing I did check on when they took me off regular cancer treatments is whether I'd still get the Zometa infusions every three months. The answer was yes--gotta keep those bones strong!
