I am as pumped as I have been in years

I've mentioned before that I am buying into a pub. Doing it with a guy I have known for years. We are going to be really great partners.

I'm am approaching this like I have never had cancer. He knows my situation and is still all in. My wife is extremely happy because this has given me such a spark. My Lord...even my mother in law supports it. A unique opportunity and what I have been looking for something like this for years. Long before the big C.

I'm actually so pumped it's hard to sleep. I feel great (no pain) and I'm really good at managing a group of people. I've done if for years. Difference now is I am the owner. No boss. No dogma. No BS.

Why post this? First because I know a lot of people here truly care about me. Second is that this little project energizes me and makes me want to live. It's been to long since I have felt like this. For everyone who is in the middle of this horrible disease...live life. Easier said than done,  I know.

You can have cancer and still live life. I want you all to come and have a free lunch and beer. I would post a pictures but not sure how.

Anyway. I love you guys and I owe everyone a debt. A debt of gratitude. Wishing good scans for all

Peace

Tom

So happy for you!  You sound very much alive in your post and it’s great to feel that excitement. I wish the best for you.  When do you open and what is the name of your place?

Tom,

This is great news!  It's always a good thing to something you'll enjoy and the fact that it is with a good friend is just icing on the cake.  I look forward to hearing updates as you get more involved.  We all want to stay alive to live life and this is life at its best.  Keep us posted.

You sound great! This kind of adventure wouldn't be MY cup of tea, but whatever floats your boat. We all need something to get excited about--glad you've found yours!

Ya know we all love you & are genuinely thrilled!  It’s the joy protocol, hard for cancer to make an appearance in the face of raging endorphins!
If we’re in your neck of the woods next year we will definitely pop in!
Cheers to you!

Tom,

Perhaps 3 decades ago, I made a stop in Longview for gas and a bite to eat. I was stationed at Ft. Lewis at the time and traveling to Camp Withycombe to evaluate Oregon Army National Guard summer training. Longview in those days was a quaint little town close to I-5 and nestled between the Cowlitz and Columbia rivers. I recall difficulty finding a decent place to eat.

So, perhaps Longview still needs a good pub! I'm sure yours will be a success. BTW, engineers lead the way!

Stay the course.

Tom

Tom -

I'm so excited for you! Sometimes we just need that spark to move us in the right direction. In your case, that spark is cold and poured from a tap!

Once you're open, please share pictures of the place with us.
