The next big thing in lung cancer radiation.

Cyberknife saved my life. It was my 5th line treatment and it worked. To say I'm a fan of precision radiation (now called SABR--Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy) is an understatement. Well, here's the next big thing in the cancer radiation world. Give it a watch!

Stay the course.

Tom,

Interesting stuff, but it still seems to need more testing and follow up.  But learning about the history of the technology sure was interesting.  Especially the part about the delayed treatments to reduce toxicity.  Glad to see research going on all the time.

Thanks, Tom,

I just requested a consult with Dr. Timmerman. Apparently they are running a trial at UTSW on PULSAR with Durvalumab. Sounds like it could potentially be an option for me--the reason they discouraged me from radiation when my recurrence was first diagnosed was concern about toxicity to my esophagus. Seems like this might work together with the TIL therapy I got.

What the heck, might as well ask. Dallas would probably be doable once a month or so, flying SWA.
