Hi, everyone. İ think you are well...

My mother's condition is stable. but she began to eat less and less and only liquid food. saliva comes out of her mouth and they are like mucus, sometimes it seems that she has a lot of it there. what is this? no pain, sleep well. sometimes she does not recognize us, but later her mind clears up and talks to everyone. can i give her baby food? given to babies.

Best regards,

Nur,

Good to hear from you again and glad to know your mom's condition is stable. Mucus production with late state lung cancer is unfortunately a problem. There is a over-the-counter medicine called Guaifenesin. The trade-name for this drug is Mucinex. It is very helpful for thinning mucus and allowing it to clear rapidly. Perhaps a pharmacy has this medication.

I don't see why you couldn't feed your mom baby food. I'd also include ice cream if available. It is hard to say no to ice cream!

Stay the course.

Hi everyone,

My mother started to have pains, she groans almost for days. In the clinic we were given Tramadol. After one time of its use by mom for 20 minutes it was very bad, everyone was scared.

A few days ago we had a video conference with the head of the palliative medicine department from Moscow. We sent him all the documents, tests, analisys + during the conference we explained to him the condition of my mother, he even talked to her, asked her questions. Then he prescribed medication. Tramadol doctor said not to give! İt's a bad drug.
Analgin was prescribed for pain. As sleeping pills Diazepam ampoules or Relanium (but we have not found these drugs yet).

A urinary catheter was placed because it was painful for her to go to the toilet. Every three days we do enemas, while with Microlax.

Motilium was prescribed against vomiting. By the way, it helps a lot. Appetite returns. Earlier we dripped glucose. So far we are satisfied with the treatment. But the pain from analgin does not go away ... mom groans ...

Your opinion...?
