DRock Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Hi Everyone 😃 I have an upcoming CT scan of my chest.  I’m wondering, will the scan cover my armpits/lymph nodes in that area? I’ve had some swelling and tenderness/pain on the right side, same side the nodules in my lung were located.  So, I just want to make sure that area will also be covered.  I have googled it but I’m not clear on the answer. Thank you, Wishing you all a terrific day! Carrie
Karen_L Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Hi, Carrie, May I suggest you shoot a note or make a quick call to the physician who ordered the scan and ask them— I always think going to the source is the best idea. I think it’s especially important to share with them the concern that is prompting  your question. Best, Karen
DRock Posted October 27, 2022 Author Posted October 27, 2022 Morning Karen, That’s a great idea, thank you 😊 Carrie
LouT Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 DRock, Karen's advice was spot on. Â Never keep any symptoms (regardless of severity) a secret from your medical team. Lou
DRock Posted November 10, 2022 Author Posted November 10, 2022 Just in case anyone else is curious about this question, the chest CT does cover armpits and lymph nodes in that area.
