Holliday
Hello, I have non-small cell lung cancer, adenomacarcinoma stage II B. I also had thyroid cancer in 1995, I had a total thyroidectomy. My question here in this forum is… I would like to know who in this lungevity forum has had a thyroidectomy and lung cancer and going/ went through chemotherapy. DRock
Hi @Holliday I have not been diagnosed with lung cancer. I do have two nodules in my right upper lung and I have a chest CT scheduled for November 8th. I also had thyroid cancer in 2014, I had a thyroidectomy and one dose of radiation and have been cancer free since. I’m sorry to hear of your lung cancer diagnosis and that you’re going through this. Does the lung cancer have anything to do with the thyroid cancer. Wishing you all the very best, Carrie Tom Galli
Judy M2
I haven't had a thyroidectomy but I did have 6x chemo (carboplatin and taxol) and 30x radiation prior to starting targeted therapy in March 2020 for Stage IIIB EGFR+ adenocarcinoma. For me, radiation was the most difficult. Sorry I can't exactly answer your question. Tom Galli and LouT
