Will any of the sessions be available virtually? It's so disappointing to not be able to travel to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity!

Your question: will Hope Summit sessions be available virtually? I've heard this question asked a number of times and the short answer is there will be no "real-time" virtual sessions during the forthcoming summit. Some sessions may be recorded and posted online after the event.

Stay the course.

Hi Karen,

Tom is correct. This is a big topic of discussion and may change in future events, but this one will be in person only with a few sessions possibly being recorded. I will keep you updated if I hear otherwise. Have a great weekend!

LUNGevity is excited to announce Jill Feldman, lung cancer patient and advocate, as a speaker at the 2023 HOPE Summit May 5-7, in Rockville, MD.

Jill will be speaking during the session "Lung Cancer Makes No Execptions: Responding to Stigmas and Inequities."

When Jill was 13 years old, she lost her dad and two grandparents to lung cancer. Then her mom and close aunt died of lung cancer when she was in her 20’s. In 2009, at 39 years old with four small children, Jill herself was diagnosed with EGFR positive lung cancer.

Jill is committed to understanding and promoting patient-centered research as Chair of IASLC’s patient advisory board, member of the programmatic panel for the Department of Defense Lung Cancer Research Program, a member of the the ECOG-ACRIN Research Group’s patient advocate committee and thoracic committee and as the patient advocate on the National Lung Cancer Round Table steering committee. She is a co-founder of the EGFR Resisters, a grassroots, patient-driven community committed to accelerating research that will prolong and better the lives of people diagnosed with EGFR+ lung cancer.

The HOPE Summit is free to attend for those living with lung cancer and their caregivers. A limited number of travel grants are still available. To learn more and register, visit lungevity.org/hope-summit
