Hello, I am new here and new to cancer.  I will have my appointment with the oncologist next Tuesday.  I will hopefully get all the pertinence then.  My significant other is mid way through treatment for prostate cancer as well.

Sorry you're going through this.  Lung cancer treatments have come a very long way since we were kids.  Do you have a diagnosis already? If so do I you know the results of genetic biomarker testing?

I was told after the biopsy that it was positive for squamous cell carcinoma, 3.5 cm mass LUL.  I will have my first visit with an oncologist next Tuesday.  I should find out stage, treatment then.  They believe nodules on adrenals are not cancer, only 1 lymph gland was questionable.  Will have brain MRI this Thurs.

Do not accept a treatment plan without the results of genetic testing. It is the single most important part of today's treatments.  Your doctor might say they're rare but they absolutely need to be tested for. Many people achieve remarkable results with today treatments but testing is where it starts .
