gerbil runner Posted April 4, 2004 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Hi, tim-uk. Has your mom had a biopsy? Sometimes it's tough to get the right sample. It took almost 3 weeks for my mom to be diagnosed. She had stent brushings in the bile duct, sputum tests, and 2 bronchoscopies which gave no results. Finally, a ct-guided needle biopsy of the pancreas gave the dx. Connie B Posted April 4, 2004 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Dear Tim-uk. Not sure if we can honestly help you, if your not sure what kind of cancer your mum has. If the primary tumor is NOT lung cancer then they would treat her for what ever the primary tumor is. That would be different then lung cancer.
