MO_Sugar
I saw my Doctor today when I went for chemo. I wasn't sched. to see him till next week but I thought I detected growth in the lymph node on my neck so the nurse set me up with a quick visit to him before treatment. He said that it actually felt and looked a little better than last time. What I am feeling now is the smaller units that make up the lymph node. When it was so swollen it felt like 1 big mass but now the swelling is down I can feel the smaller units. He said my liver seemed worse ( more growth) but he would continue on with the treatment I am currently getting for another time or two in hopes of it starting to work. Next step is Iressa according and after that it is pain managment and pallitaive care. Still not giving up but it is starting to not look as rosey as it once did. Prayers and good thoughts appreciated. God Bless YOU all, MO
Ry
Well hell. I am glad he has a plan and Iressa to go to if needed. Hopefully something will kick in soon. I think you're having company on June 5th

Debi
Mo, Don't get ahead of yourself woman..you are a fighter, and if your current treatment doesn't work, there has been so many people here that have benefitted from Iressa. That said, you tell that doctor he better work double time because you have alot of friends and we will have NO problem roasting his nuts at the festival if need be. Just give us the word and we will march on his office with torches!!!! Warm hugs and wishes....
brm1949
Hang in there Mo, its not over till its over. Just chalk it up as a bad day and forget about it and see what tomorrow brings. There is always hope. I know how difficult it is but we really have no choice but to battle it out. I know this for sure, God will never leave nor forsake you but through it all He will be there to strengthen you and comfort you. Trust Him, He is our salvation. MO_Sugar
Thanks all, I have by no means given up yet! I am to ornery and pig headed, lol. I know God is with me no matter what happens, he will either make it all come together and work or he will have a place set aside for me with him where there is NO CANCER! In either case it is HIS will be done , not mine. In the mean time, I am living life, playing with Tonka trucks and trying to do what I can to help others going down the same road! God love and bless you all, MO
Snowflake
Shoog, You are a VERY SPECIAL light along this path - like a Christmas luminary. Keep lettin' your light shine, girl - but not so much that you have nothing left for yourself. Love ya dearly! Becky
Fay A.
You are playing with Tonkas? You are definitely my kind of girl! And Mo, just because we set aside those Rose Colored Glasses doesn't mean we can't shop around for some green ones, or blue ones, or clear, or yellow, or orange. kimblanchard
Oh Mo, I don't like to hear news like that but we can still pray the chemo will kick in or if necessary Iressa will do what it is supposed to. You have such strong faith and that is wonderful. I don't know how folks manage without the trust in God to see them through. You are such a wonderful example for all of us. Keep us posted. gail
Hey, try some LEGOS while you are at it. I am partial to the Barbie dolls myself---we had no cool clothes as kids like they do now! Guest bean_si (Not Active)
Mo, I have a friend who was going downhill. He fought and fought for Iressa when it first came out he got in the trials and now he's doing fine and still working. He has some tough days as don't we all but, like you, he is stubborn, determined and at last is receiving the right treatment. Hang in there with your smile and your grandson. Prayers going out for you and for everyone on this board.
shelliemacs
Mo, I don't hear any fat lady singing so it AIN'T over. I am praying that it turns around and Iressa or even still the chemo will kick in and beat back those d.c.c (damn cancer cells) fight on MO. Melinda
Mo, I am so sorry that you got such bittersweet news. An appointment like that does feel like a kick in the solar plexus--but I am glad to hear that you still have your boxing gloves on. We, too, will be praying that the chemo works (VISUALIZE it doing its work on those rotten cancer cells!). You may not even have to cross the Iressa bridge--but at least it's not a bad bridge to cross! Keep fighing, praying, visualizing, and PLAYING!!! karenb
I don't think that you will have to read "The purpose driven life" book. You have already found your purpose here whether you know it or not. You are a Light to so many on this board; even through all your affliction your faith and acceptance of God's plan is unwavering!! I just love that about you. You have many more lives to touch down here so I think our Lord might just keep you around for quite some time yet to show them the way!! I know that you will hear the words that we all hope to hear at the end and that it "well done good and faithful servant"!!!
