What can I do to help in the Relay for Life May 21 in MA

Is there something I can do to spread the word about this group, or information I can provide at our town's Relay for Life? I am in charge of the silent auction/raffle and my husband does corporate fundraising. Just last year was our very first Relay in my town, and I'm proud to say we raised $165,000 in the first year and the attendance of over 1000 people. This year is different for me, and while I totally support the ACS, I have a special affection for this site. How can I help - what would you like me to do?

Although we have been up for almost a year and a half, LCSC has only been an official non-profit since January 2004 (retroactive from the original application date of November 2003).

Our donations have been limited to the wonderful members here and their family members and it wasn't until over a year later, February 2004, that LCSC was able to pay for web service and a limited amount of promotional materials solely from donations and not out of our private funds.

We are making it--but very slowly.

Our strategy, aside from any possible grant or fund monies we might be able to qualify for one day to aid in LC research and live support for LC patients, is to spread the word about LC (foremost) and spread the word about the work we are doing here, and then our need for donations so that we can further make a difference.

I would be happy to forward flyer information to you and any other information you may need that you think might help and of course we would be extremely greatful for any fundraising help you may be able to provide on our behalf.

LCSC not only has approx. 1100 members, but we received approx. 1 MILLION visitors a month. This makes advertising space on this website very lucritive and selling ad space on this website is also a great possibility for raising funds for our group.

Thank you for wanting to help and thank you for your support.

Hi Katie, Let's start with forwarding your flyer information. I can reproduce it and provide it at the Relay. I'll also give my Dad some, and encourage him to share it with his doctors. Do you want to e-mail me it or do you want to send it through the mail?

Katie,

I am also involved with a Relay for Life on May 15th. They told me I can put flyers for LCSC in the booth.

Please email me one and I will reproduce (copies that is, the only kind of reproducing I am doing these days)

How's the baby? New pictures please.

Katie,

May I please have a copy of the LCSC flyer for my booth at the Relay for Life? I'm the captain of my team, and we'll be happy to have it with us to hand out. Our relay in in late June....thank you...
