Mary
My sister's Oncologists offered to write her a prescription for Iressa last Friday. Has anyone heard of someone doing Iressa and Chemo at the same time? Thanks, Mary
AdaW
Dear Mary, I know that they did clinical trials with IRESSA and other (or another?)chemo drug(s) along the way to Iressa's FDA approval. As you can see, I don't have details about these clinical trials, but it was found that IRESSA did not enhance the chemo's ability to shrink tumors. That's why it's been approved for treatment to be used on it's own. Is there a possibility that your sister's oncologist will stop her other treatments and just use IRESSA alone? I will be starting IRESSA on 5/27. I pray that it works for me and now I will include your sister in my prayers. Take care, Ada
