I noticed others who had this problem...well my family did too!!! Just thought I would see how many of us had to correct this problem!

MAKE SURE they correct it too, cause a.) it goes to the the vital record office in your state which then in turns uses that info for statistics!!and b.) it is your family medical record!! which is important.

I was mad too cause NOW we have to pay for the new copy of the death certificate!

My dad's cause of death was listed as respiratory failure,

then at another "other" line, his doctor put respiratory failure due to sclc.

There was a line under that that said length of illness and Dr. put 1yr.

We also had the wrong cause of death on the certificate.

First Hospice put larcogenic carcinoma on Gianni's death certificate. After I questioned them, they changed it to bronchiogenic carcinoma. At first the funeral director asked if we could keep it this way(as if to say what does it matter?). If we wanted to change it we sould have to pay for them again. I told him absolutely not!!! I wanted the right cause of death on it. I even e-mailed our Dr. to make sure it was correct. Also, I did not have to pay extra for them.
