Transfusion and Still No Better -

IIIp0

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. Hubby had blood transfusion yesterday and while he almost skipped out of the hospital afterwards, he work up this morning feeling just as badly as before he had them!? What a disappointment.....

Maybe it's because he still has another one to take on Monday? I hope it will make a difference. His hemoglobin was 7.2 and platelets were up some from the last time which is good. But his appetite is all but gone; and he has absolutely no energy whatsoever..

Wednesday we hear about the brain scan results. Please hold us in your thoughts.... Thanks - Beth

Beth, the next transfusion may do the trick. Prayers & postive energy are going out for you and your husband.

Beth,

like the others I believe another one may help tremendously. Also, I'm not sure of your history- but have you asked about Megace?

It really brought back my dads' appetite full-on and as you know food=fuel=energy.

Ask your Onc. if you haven't already. He will have to be evaluated because Megace can cause blood clots. My dad had chemo-induced anemia so that was never a concern for us.

God Bless.
