IIIp0 Posted May 15, 2004 Posted May 15, 2004 Hello everyone. Hubby had blood transfusion yesterday and while he almost skipped out of the hospital afterwards, he work up this morning feeling just as badly as before he had them!? What a disappointment..... Maybe it's because he still has another one to take on Monday? I hope it will make a difference. His hemoglobin was 7.2 and platelets were up some from the last time which is good. But his appetite is all but gone; and he has absolutely no energy whatsoever.. Wednesday we hear about the brain scan results. Please hold us in your thoughts.... Thanks - Beth ===================== Husband diag. in 12/03 w/Stage IV SCLS mets to liver/spine 13 sessions of carbo/taxol, stopped due to neuropathy and low platelets Switched to CPT-11, two treatments and low hemoglobin Brain scan last week - results Wednesday Quote

SharKats Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 Hi, I'm sure your hubby will be feeling much better after the 2nd transfusion. 7.2 is really low - no wonder he has no energy. Did they give him one or two units the first time? Quote
