Guest marie foley
I started my first chemo treatment last Thursday the 10th. I am not doing too well. I am going for blood work today to see if my immune system is still with me. I will keep you posted. marie

stand4hope
Marie, I'm sorry that chemo is making you feel so bad. Hopefully, the blood tests will give your doctor an idea what is going on. Many times, there are meds they can give you to help with the side effects. Keep up posted, please. Peggy
Ry
Your blood counts are probably low. Ask about a Procrit shot. Hope you perk up soon.
Nushka
I hope everything levels out for you in a few days. Chemo isn't fun but there are meds for a lot of the side effects. Keep us posted. Have you in my thoughts. Nina

elnodel
Dear Marie, Sorry to hear that the chemo is not going as smoothly as it might -- does it ever? -- but I'm glad that the blood work turned out well and that you've got the pizza craving. Things can't be THAT bad if pizza is on your mind! What chemo are you on? My husband starts this coming Monday, so we're on pins and needles, not knowing exactly what to expect no matter how much they tell you beforehand. Hope you continue to improve. When do you have your next session? Ellen
Addie
My craving was for Chinese food...the hot kind. I found out it didn't agree with me the week following chemo...but a week after that, I managed to get some down! I'm so happy you're feeling better and that your numbers were good. Better yet...you were able to satisfy that pizza craving! I had a pizza party with friends the night we shaved my head after my hair started to jump ship! Hope you continue to feel good...and be sure to ask your doctors if there is something they can give you to make sure you DO feel good! KatieB
EAT, EAT, EAT.... and then eat some more....! It's imortant to keep up your strength and I am sending prayers that the chemo works wonders and the side-effects are minimal. God Bless
Connie B
YES PIZZA, A woman after my own heart! I ate pizza through my entire chemo treatments, as well as craving cheese popcorn. OY!! Too too funny. Glad to hear your feeling better. All things sound on the NORM to me! Enjoy that pizza and anything else you can mustard up! Hope your next treatments go better for you. A lot of times they get better as time goes on. Stay positive because that seems to help too!
