KatieB
I know alot of you "pioneer" members of LCSC remember Linda. SHe and I were like sisters in this (& CATHY too) battle with our "special" dads. She lost her father in March and I received an e-mail from her last night. I miss you linda. I know your dad loved you and was so proud of you. You're always in my thoughts. Keep in touch and prayers for you some comfort and peace in the months ahead. I wanted to share her e-mail with everyone: Ive been thinking a lot lately about my friends at LCSC. My father, Matthew, passed away in March and I couldnt come back to the board. I had nothing to offer anyone. Im still finding the grief very hard to live with. But I was thinking about Katie- I know September will be a year, Cheryl and Jack, Don's Lucie, the Duke, DeanCarl and the others. If you could send a post just letting them know I was thinking about them, that would be great. My email is GLGIL@aol.com and I would love to hear from them. Thanks- Linda Gilmartin

-Cheryl-
Katie, Thanks for posting Linda's message. Linda, Cathy, and Katie, I understand your loss. I too lost my special Dad to lung cancer. It is something that you don't ever get over. However, time has softened the blow. I lost my Dad 19 years ago. It is hard to believe that he has been gone that long. It was the hardest thing that I have ever had to experience, and the tears sting my eyes as I recount his last days. Now, I too am stricken with the very same disease, and research has not progressed enough. I am sorry for your losses, and mine. Nobody should have to lose their beloved Daddy, or anyone else to this incidious disease. I pray for a cure. Linda, please come visit us when you feel the strength. We have missed you and share in your grief. Your Dad was an incredibly strong man. I am so impressed at his "will to survive." He battled lymphoma and lung cancer! Linda, thanks for supporting me in many a time of need. Please, may I do the same for you? I am here for you whenever you need anything.
