Haylee_38 Posted July 15, 2004 Share Posted July 15, 2004 I lost my brother Art tonight he had a massive heart attack. I am so in shock he just turned 46. I just needed someone to share with I feel so alone. I just lost my mother alittle over a year ago to lung cancer. Need prayers for his 9 year old son. Your brother was far too young to die and my heart goes out to his little boy. I hope this tender little soul will be able to deal with this loss in a way that eventually he will have his treasured memories and less sadness. Fall54 Posted July 15, 2004 Share Posted July 15, 2004 Haylee, I am so very sorry about losing your Brother. My Dad died at 46 with the same thing. After just losing my Brother I know exactly how you feel. I am not sure if it is better to lose someone suddenly or through a period of time. My dad was sudden as was my 1st husband in a car accident at age 29. It was total shock. After dealing with Alan's illness over the span of 5 months I know now what it feels like to have someone there but feel each day you are losing them. I was in grieving ever since I knew of his dx. I am not saying both ways arent horrible but I am just not sure truthfully what is the best way if it has to happen at all. I feel so sad for his 9 year old. It will be hard on him for sure. Haylee_38 Posted July 15, 2004 Author Share Posted July 15, 2004 Thank you for all the support. I only slept a few hours last night it still seems un real. I am with you Jane on not knowing which is harder. I was the soul caregiver for my mom while she was battling her lc. That was a daily grieving the entire 7 months. I am just so sad that I did not get a chance to talk to my brother one last time. He lived out of state and my daughter said he called me several times on Sunday. I missed his last call to me and yesterday when I called the people who he stays with on there property went to get him and I was actualy on the phone when they found him. My boss lost her husband two years ago at age 38 of a massive heart attack. they had three small children at the time - 1, 4 and 7 years old. it was such a shock. If this makes any sense I feel so alone. My sister is in another state and my other brother in a different city. Plus have lost my parents I feel so alone inside and all of your replys have helped me so much. My sister will be here Saturday coming in from Las Vegas can not express how much I need her now.
