BeckyCW Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Thank you! This foundation may be a good prospect for us -- I'll look into it. I knew of them, but didn't realize it was lung cancer he had! Everybody, notice it says he was diagnosed with "terminal lung cancer" in 1978. And he just died, at age 78. BeckyCW Quote
Amy P Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 http://www.hrblock.com/presscenter/about/rbloch.jsp Here is the link from HR Block website via the Kansas City Star - our hometown cancer hero. His first cancer survivor park is in KC and is beautiful - a peaceful place, if you ever get the chace to see one, please do. Mr. Block has touched many many lives. I got to meet Mr. Block a couple of years ago (hubby coaches high school soccer and coached 2 of his grandkids) when my MIL was battling ovarian cancer - what an amazing man. The cancer community lost a great warrior today Quote
