MJ Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 quick question: can you do crt and r/c at the same time? thanks all. -mj Quote
Cary Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 MJ, Yes you can, I will have to pull some of my old research and post/repost. Radiation is actually more effective/less side effects while on TM(low copper levels). Cary Quote
Summer Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 Hi MJ and Cary, we are considering TM also, but a little cautious. Are there any side effects we need to be aware of? Or other supplements we should avoid while taking TM? Any info, or personal experience is much appreciated. Summer Quote
Hebbie Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 I know that Cary is the expert on this subject, but I do know that when I looked into TM, my doctor put me on a multi-vitamin WITHOUT Copper and Iron. I also take NAC (N-Acetyl-L0Cysteine) supplement, which is a natural copper reducer. Quote
Summer Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Hi Heather, thanks, we'll look at the multi-vitamin and NAC. My partner hasn't started on TM yet. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the complementary therapies out there. We're also looking at nutrition - alkaline vs. acidic, blood-type specific, and whole foods etc. May have to settle on just one as following all is terribly restrictive. I would also like to take a look at the Superfoods chart that you mentioned in another post, would you still share it? So much to learn, but so important to be proactive. Thanks again, and all the best to you. Quote
Alisa Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 My doctor/herbologist put me on a copper reducer called Liquid Molybdenum (10 drops/day) Quote
Summer Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Thanks, Alisa. It appears there's much more to explore than just chemo and radiation treatments (though we're really counting on them to work right now...). There seems an excitement in the field of cancer research, about novel biological approaches to fighting cancer. I'm waiting for the breakthrough that will make cancer a treatable disease like diabetes or hypertension. It's only a matter of time Quote
