Duke of Earl - The Final Chapter

Recommended Posts

My dear friends,

My darling, precious Earl died at 4:30 this morning. He was surrounded by his family and had been for the whole journey. He died peacefully.

Earl was a true gentleman, and will be missed by many.

No Ginny. This can't be. Another good man lost to this disease. I am sorry to hear that. Earl fought a good fight and you were a great caregiver. The one thing that we do know is that he is now at peace. Will be praying for the family for the time ahead.

Oh, Ginny, I am so sorry....so very, very sorry. When I saw the title of your post it just made my heart sink. You and Earl were quite a couple. A fine example of what marraige should be. Earl has now begun a new book, and I am sure that he will devote many chapters remembering the love the two of you shared here on Earth, and the love he shared with his family. I am sure that he still can feel that love. It is so wonderful that he was able to die as he lived, surrounded by love.

Please accept my sincerest condolences. Deb

I don't post a lot, but I read this board a couple of times a day and I love seeing your smiling face in your picture with Earl. It made me feel like I knew you both.

I am so sorry to hear this news.

Love,

Alisa

Ginny

May you take the lead your loving Earl gave on his passing--to find comfort and peace in the days ahead, knowing Earl lives on in the memories of those he loved and who loved him.

love and fortitude

Ginny, I am so saddened by the news. You have made Earl so real for us, and we have come to love you both. I hope you will stay with us to help you through the grief period. Earl is in our hearts, and so are you. Peace. Don

Ginny,

I, like Alisa do not post much but try to come on everyday to read up on how everyone is doing. I have always made it a point to read your post. The love between you and your husband is absolutely heart warming. I was also a caregiver for my Dad whom we lost in Oct. 2004 to lung cancer. I know the pain of losing someone to this dreaded disease. My heart aches for you on your loss. How lucky you and your husband were to have each other. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

God Bless,

Jean

Ginny, when I say I think about you constantly I am not kidding. I came to General today looking for your daily update. I am heartbroken for you.

Again, I will say as someone already has, you and Earl have been a real inspiration to me about what a real marriage is all about.

Deepest sympathies from the Chapmans

Love,

Karen

and Dave and Faith
