Gregory C. Kulm, of Omaha, Nebraska, has been selected as the Outstanding Disabled Veteran of the Year. He lost both of his legs, and suffered other serious internal injuries as a Marine on patrol in Vietnam 36 years ago. He has faced his life's challenges with courage and humor and compassion. And he has worked hard over the past 3 1/2 decades to help other sick and disabled vets obtain the medical care they need.

In August of 2002, Mr. Kulm was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. He is currently undergoing his second round of chemotherapy. He still conducts himself with courage and humor and compassion for others.

Once a Hero always a hero....

I don't know Mr. Kulm.....but I know a lot of folks like him. Just wanted to voice my admiration for this man who has made it his practice to live well and help others to do the same.
