Location of Lung Cancer Gene Found

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the article. My husband's father and grandmother both died of SCLC and my husband has been battling it for 9 months. Our oncologist told us it was hereditary. If they can identify the gene, perhaps our children will be able to get tested at an early age. I'll be keeping on eye on this.

Thank you so much for the information. My family is full of lung cancer patients. On my dad's side I have one uncle. On my mom's side I have 2 uncles and an aunt. And yes, we all smoked. I worry now that I have passed this gene mutation on to my children who don't smoke but when they were little breathed mine and their daddy's smoke in the house. We didn't know better back then. Anything to stop this dreaded disease is a godsend.
