I am in NYC post lobectomy and now, one month post neurosurgery. Worried about recurrence. Would like a buddy who is still living a full life and not making lc the focus of her/his life. Prefer someone who won't quote scriptures etc

I had the lobectomy two years ago and I was feeling confident that I was beating the odds. Three weeks ago a neurological problem surfaced - and it was a metastasis to the brain - small one, "discret" - so I had the surgery - and now? Some doctors say seven months, others say more -one said "be guardingly optimistic". I wish I could get an average survival figure for a single brain metastis...

Thanks for your postings. Is there anyone out there who has NOT had chemo after lobectomy. I know two years was good without recurrence, but in fact it did recur. I have been told that chemo is useless for brain mets. Anyone in the same situation, and anyone who is still working and doesn't want to lose cognitive function?
